Below is a TED talk by Kristina Gjerde, a legal advisor to IUCN. Kristina has been a tireless advocate and legal scholar of international maritime law. I had the great fortune of meeting her and picking her brain for an hour earlier this year. She is a very knowledgeable woman, has a wonderful presence, and is a great, enthusiastic communicator. Very glad to have her working on conservation issues in the largest habitat on Earth with little to no legal monitoring. This 15 minute talk is time very well spent.
Hat tip to Bomai Cruz.
